Principal DCIM Delivery Engineer

We are seeking a Principal Data Center Infrastructure Management Delivery Engineer (DCIM-DE) to serve as a design authority and standards leader for DCIM platforms. This role will lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide controls, alarming strategies, integration models, and quality standards across BMS, EPMS, and SCADA systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead DCIM Basis of Design, owner requirements, and enterprise controls/alarming standards.
• Direct design consultants, system integrators, and controls partners.
• Define requirements for Aveva System Platform, Ignition, and open I/O frameworks.
• Review sequences of operations, system architecture, P&IDs, instrumentation, and control logic.
• Establish point naming, alarming, trending, and DCIM integration standards.
• Oversee QA/QC, commissioning, design changes, RFIs, and technical escalations.
• Support SOWs, RFPs, vendor onboarding, and project execution.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, IT, and construction teams.
• Mentor engineers and partners while driving consistency and quality across projects.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of control systems experience in mission-critical environments/data centers.
• Expert knowledge of EPMS, BMS, and SCADA platforms.
• Experience with Rockwell, Schneider Electric, and Siemens PLCs .
• Proficiency with BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, TCP/IP, SNMP, and ISO 16484 .
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing partner deliverables.
• Strong understanding of sequences of operations, instrumentation documentation, and alarm hierarchy design.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and work across multiple time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Rockwell or Ignition certifications.
• Experience with data center mechanical systems, psychrometrics, and thermodynamics.
• Factory/software acceptance testing experience.
• Familiarity with digital twin platforms and high-fidelity simulation.
• Working knowledge of SQL, ServiceNow, and Active Directory .
• Strong engineering documentation and control logic skills.
