Principal DBALooking for Principal DBA with following experience 12+ years of professional experience as DBA in any two of the databases/data warehouses such as Redshift, mySQL, PostgresQL, Snowflake, Big Query, Databricks, etc., using cloud services AWS and GCP. Extensive experience interpreting and debugging application data flow and data pipelines using technologies such as GoLang, Python, Databricks, pySpark, and Kafka. Proficiency in handling large-scale data sets.
Experience building and maintaining databases that support multiple engineering teams and processes applications data and big data. Ability to quickly grasp complex data domains and learn new technologies. Innately curious and organized, with a drive to analyze data, identify deliverables, anomalies, and gaps, and propose effective solutions. Proven experience designing data models that have been successfully implemented in production. Strong expertise in writing complex SQL queries and database monitoring/alerting automation. Strong expertise in analyzing SQL performance and optimization.
Experience planning and implementing disaster recovery of the critical databases.
Experience in owning the cost management for the cloud database services such as Redshift, RDS, Databricks and etc. Familiarity with AWS services such as Redshift, RDS, EKS, S3, EMR, Glue, and Lambda.
