Leading the design and implementation of a Databricks-based data science and AI platform, the full-time remote Principal Databricks Architect will define platform architecture, ensure governance and compliance, and enable data science teams to independently develop and deploy models. Key responsibilities Define and champion the end-to-end architecture for the Databricks data science and AI platform, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance Lead the design and adoption of Unity Catalog for data governance, partnering with security and compliance teams Architect robust integration between Databricks and the enterprise data platform (Snowflake) to enable seamless data access Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise-level IT functions 7+ years of experience managing large enterprise data initiatives and teams 5+ years of experience architecting and operating enterprise-grade data and AI/ML platforms, with hands-on Databricks and Apache Spark experience Deep knowledge of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform and related technologies
