Principal Database Administrator
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Database administration of servers in cluster and container environments running a variety of applications to include Ubuntu Linux.
- Work will include refinement of database architecture design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and urgent troubleshooting efforts.
- Perform administrative and maintenance tasks on PostGRES databases.
- Perform planning, coordination, and execution of database installations and upgrades and patches.
- Respond to all database related work requests, including working with system maintainers, system engineering analysis, and integration efforts.
- Maintain and update design and database schema documentation. The work environment fluctuates between routine and urgent, depending on ongoing tasks, priorities, and performance of assigned systems.
