Principal Data ScientistPLEX Solutions, A Part of Markon, is looking for a Principal Data Scientist to support a contract in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines for enterprise AI applications including defining appropriate data model conceptsDevelop high-performance data parsers for extremely large and complex datasetsImplement and manage various database systems, including graph, SQL, NoSQL, and vector databasesCollaborate with AI/ML engineers and data scientists to understand data requirements and optimize data access and retrieval for AI modelsEnsure data quality, integrity, and security across all data storage solutionsSupport the deployment and maintenance of AI applications by providing expert data engineering capabilitiesFamiliarity with AI concepts in the context of data storage, access, and retrievalContinuously optimize data infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalabilityQualificationsActive TS/SCI W/ PolygraphBachelor's degree in relevant field and 8 years of experience; an advanced degree will be considered in lieu of years of experienceProficient in PythonExperience with Docker and KubernetesExperience with end-to-end workflows/projects3+ years of Defensive Cyber Operations experience3+ years of Machine Learning techniques and statistical model evaluation Desired Skills: Master's degree in relevant field and 4 years of experienceDemonstrated expertise with R or Python, and SQL to manipulate data and draw insights from large and small data setsExposure to AWS (Amazon Web Services), Cisco (CCNA), and/or STIGs/IAVA, Big Data Platform (BDP)Strong background and skills in Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)/Windows/Virtual environmentsA problem solver who can get in, be given a project, and use engineering skills to determine a solutionJupyter Notebooks, Network Analysis ToolsSalary RangeUSD $150,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr.
