Move the company forward and show progress.Apply your problem-solving skills to address highly complex, ambiguous problems that span multiple domains and organizationsArchitect and deploy scalable machine learning and AI systems that serve as foundational platforms for multiple teamsPartner with senior engineering, product, and business leaders to shape and execute Lutron's Data & AI strategyIdentify, evaluate, and incubate emerging technologies such as generative AI, reinforcement learning, and edge AIEstablish best practices and standards for ML ops, responsible AI, model governance, and technical excellenceMentor and develop senior and staff-level data scientists and technical leadersRepresent Lutron as a technical authority in data science and AI, both internally and externallyDrive creation of reusable frameworks, platforms, and intellectual propertyQualificationsPhD degree in a STEM field, or MS degree and equivalent, recognized expertise in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for all degrees earned12+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, and AI with sustained, enterprise-level impactProven leadership track record leading teams and projects, coordinating across functions, and driving execution from concept through delivery.Deep expertise in advanced machine learning, AI systems, and large-scale production deploymentsProven ability to influence strategy and technical direction across multiple organizationsExceptional communication skills, including executive-level technical storytellingProficiency in Python, R, or Scala, and deep experience with modern ML frameworks and cloud platformsExpert in large-scale cloud deployment of ML/AI modelsExpert in MLOpsDesired QualificationsRecognized thought leadership in applied data science or AIBackground in IoT, embedded systems, or intelligent devicesExperience contributing to patents, publications, or industry standardsStarting pay: $175,000 - $190,000 per year; Lutron's employee benefits include 401k match, health, dental, and life insurance, paid vacation (amount based on tenure with the company), flexible spending accounts, and tuition reimbursement programs.Lutron Electronics' position as the worldwide leader in innovative lighting control and shading solutions has enabled consistent, annual growth.
