About the role
IntegerseeksaPrincipalCyber‑PhysicalSecurityEngineerwhowillserveasaseniortechnicalleaderacrossagrowingportfolioofcyber‑resilienceresearchprogramsforautonomousandmaritimesystems.Thisroleprovidescross‑programguidance,drivinghands‑ontechnicalexecutiononthehighest‑risk,highest‑payoffresearchproblemsrelatedtocyber‑physicalresilience,offensivecybermethods,andattack‑emulationframeworks. Inadditiontodrivingtechnicalexecution,thePrincipalCPSEcontributestobusinessdevelopmentandcapturebyshapingnewresearchdirections,supportingproposaldevelopment,andengagingwithgovernmentsponsorstohelppositionIntegerforfutureprograms.Asuccessfulcandidatewillexcelatworkingoncomplexproblemswithnoknownsolutions,structuringambiguoustechnicalchallenges,deliveringmeasurablecapabilityadvancesataregularcadence,andturningfundedworkintonewbusinessopportunities.
What you'll do
- Shape cyber physicalsecurityresearch, inconcertwithacademicandindustrypartners,formaritimeandautonomousplatforms,developingcybersecurity,advancedpenetrationtesting,redteaming,andreverseengineeringtools.
- Architectandprototypecyber resiliencecapabilities ,includingreal-timedecisionloopprotections,operator-in-the-loopsecurityprotocols,AI/MLenableddefenses,andcyberphysicalattackemulationframeworks.
- Shapenewtechnicalandprogramopportunities bycontributingtocaptureandbusinessdevelopmentefforts,authoringtechnicalcontentforproposals,andmaintainingrelationshipswithgovernmentandacademicstakeholders.
- Model,simulate,andanalyzecyber physicalsystems ,extractingcyberrelevantfactorsfromdensedatasourcesandtranslatingthemintomissionlevelresilienceinsightsanddeployablecapabilityprototypes.
- MentorengineersandrepresentIntegerexternally ,coachingteamsonstate‑of‑the‑artcybermethodsandsoundengineeringpractices,andpresentingresearchatconferences,technicalexchanges,andindustryevents.
- Drivetechnicalexecutionacrossmultipleprograms ,providingprincipalengineerexpertise,identifyinghigh‑risktechnicalchallenges,anddeliveringmeasurablecapabilityadvances.
Required Qualifications
- U.S.CitizenwiththeabilitytoobtainandmaintainaDoDSecretclearance.
- Bachelor’sdegreeand10+yearsofrelevantexperience,orMaster’sdegreeand7+yearsofrelevantexperience.
- Strongfoundationincomputer/networkarchitecture,operatingsystems,andmodernsoftwaredevelopment(Python,Rust,C,C++,orotherpopulardevelopmentlanguages).
- Demonstratedsuccessinbusinessdevelopmentandcaptureactivities,includingcontributingtechnicalproposalcontent,identifyingemergingresearchdirections,andengagingwithgovernmentandacademicpartners.
- Experienceconductingcyberphysicalsystemsresearch(IoT,intelligentsensors,autonomoussystems,industrialcontrolsystems).
- Proficiencywithdigitalengineering,modeling,andsimulationtoolsformissionlevelcyberphysicalresiliencyassessments.
- Demonstratedabilitytoindependentlyexecuteambiguous,long-termR&Dtasksandproduceconcrete,highqualitytechnicalresults.
- ExperiencecontributingtomultiyearDoDresearchprogramsincyberphysicalresilience,autonomysecurity,ormaritimecyberoperations.
- Abilitytoproduceclear,accessibledocumentationforcomplexresearchfindings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D.inarelevantfieldwith4+yearsofindustryexperience.
- Hands‑onexperiencewithvulnerabilityassessment,exploitdevelopment,orreverseengineeringforCPSwithAI/ML‑basedcontrollersorautomationsystems.
- FamiliaritywithZero‑TrustArchitecture(ZTA)andmaritimeelectricpowersystems.
