Based in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels.This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.Position Overview:The C2BMC program is a vital element of the Missile Defense System, providing a crucial operational platform for the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels. It enables systematic planning of missile defense operations, real-time monitoring of battle progress, and active control of networked sensors and weapon systems to meet regional and global mission goals. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering optimized responses across all threat ranges and flight phases.

It functions as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems at both global and local levels, thereby enhancing overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC plays a key role in ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities. It collaborates with the C2BMC Regional Applications Analysis team and the C2BMC Chief Analyst.Essential Functions:Perform analysis, root-cause troubleshooting, scenario support, and behavior assessments of C2BMC software across development, ground tests, and operationsUse automated tools and apply manual techniques to analyze software capabilities and behaviors in an integrated environmentCoordinate with cross-functional teamsFunctional teams and Subject Matter Experts collaborate to determine analytical methods, create scenarios, resolve anomalies, and provide actionable insights to customers and stakeholdersBasic Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degreeApplicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to startWillingness to travel 10% of the time for business needsProven experience producing analytical reports on complex systems and algorithms (performance, behavior, and functionality)Ability to use MATLAB or a comparable language (e.g., Python) for prototyping, data visualization, scripting, data manipulation, and parsingAbility to use spreadsheets, databases, and Linux command-line tools for hands-on data analysis and verificationExperience with statistical methods, time-series analysis, and data visualization to identify trends, patterns, and anomaliesExcellent analytical abilities and the ability to clearly present complex technical concepts to engineers, stakeholders, and customersKnowledge of systems and software engineering processes, principles, and lifecycle stagesStrong problem-solving and analytical abilities, combined with the ability to convey complex technical ideas clearlySelf-motivated and collaborative, thrive in fast-paced environments, and can easily switch between high-priority tasksPreferred Qualifications:Background in missile defense battle management, IR/RF sensor tracking, intercept engagements, space domain awareness, or command-and-control systemsProficiency in data analysis, visualization, and statistical methods for interpreting system trends, behaviors, and test resultsStrong math/physics background: probability, statistics, linear algebra, spatial and timing reference framesExperience working in Agile Scrum environments using JIRA and ConfluenceExperience with automated analysis and assessment of software applications/systemsAbility to create analytical tools and parsers using MATLAB, Bash, Java, Python (or similar)Experience with object-oriented programming, SQL queries, regular expressions, reading Java code, and using Git/GitLab CI/CD pipelinesAbility to read and understand code in Java, C, or C++What We Can Offer You:Health PlanSavings PlanPaid Time OffEducation AssistanceTraining and DevelopmentFlexible Work ArrangementsPrimary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
