Principal Associate, Inclusive Talent Solutions Consultant
As a Consultant and Delivery Lead Principal Associate on the Inclusive Talent Solutions Team, you will be a key partner in embedding inclusion and belonging into Capital One’s recruiting efforts. You’ll advise on talent strategy, creative ideation, recruiter upskilling, and training with an inclusion‑first approach. This role involves cross‑functional collaboration to educate, provide implementable solutions, and partner closely with stakeholders to ensure adoption, consistency, and growth.
A primary duty is risk mitigation within Talent Acquisition (TA) and across the enterprise. This includes understanding internal and external factors to adjust our operating model, maintaining a risk‑conscious and risk‑averse posture.
Responsibilities
- Strategy Development & Deliverable Execution (~40%) – Contribute to the inclusive operating model within TA, driving prioritization and visibility of initiatives aligned with Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DIB) and enterprise goals. Own the development and execution of flagship projects using project management frameworks. Research and develop resources to educate and upskill TA, embedding inclusion principles into our recruitment approach.
- Inclusive Talent Consulting (~30%) – Represent Inclusive Talent Solutions, partnering with TA, LOBs, and adjacent teams to communicate priorities, advise on inclusion‑focused situations, and drive adoption of guidance for optimal solutions. Report on research and insights on high‑impact topics relevant to local TA teams. Create compelling storytelling rooted in insights to influence business leaders and recruiters. Understand recruiting needs to apply relevant guidance while maintaining a company‑wide perspective.
- Risk Mitigation & Cross‑Functional Partnership (~30%) – Build collaborative relationships with adjacent teams to progress their priorities and identify and eliminate risks. Develop processes to educate on risk appetite and create a self‑managed framework for others to utilize in maintaining a preferred risk posture. This includes screening and reviewing materials, providing amendments, and removing outdated documents or processes. Additionally, this role is the primary contact in TA handling Permanent Reassignment cases within the organization for internal review and possible placement.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
- At least 3 years of talent acquisition or HR experience.
- At least 3 years of experience collaborating with clients and partners on recruitment strategies.
- At least 3 years using data for analysis, strategy/process improvement, and presenting results to stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of project management experience.
- 4+ years in Corporate Recruiting (full life cycle, research, and sourcing).
- 4+ years of experience collaborating with clients and partners on recruitment strategies.
- 4+ years using data to conduct analysis and present results to various stakeholders.
- Adequate knowledge of Inclusion and Belonging principles in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in recruiting systems.
Compensation
- McLean, VA: $117,300 – $133,900 for Principal Recruiter
- Richmond, VA: $106,700 – $121,700 for Principal Recruiter
- Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
