To shape the practice of analytics engineering, the full-time remote Principal Analytics Engineer will define BI standards, design a modular semantic layer, and lead cross-organizational data initiatives to enhance data infrastructure and support AI-powered analytics. Key responsibilities Dive deep into internal and third-party data to model customer journeys and business processes Design a reusable semantic layer for consistent metrics across BI tools and AI systems Lead data initiatives that align with company strategy and drive metric definition and governance standards Required qualifications 8+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related technical data role Expert-level SQL and data modeling skills with experience in designing data architectures Deep experience with semantic layer design and organizational scale data governance Strong understanding of AI systems and how they consume structured data Experience with analytics engineering tooling adoption at the organizational level (e.g., dbt, Databricks, Snowflake)
