Position: Primary Counselor

n

Outreach is seeking a qualified candidate for the Primary Counselor position in our Outpatient Program located in Brentwood. The Primary Counselor is responsible for the delivery and implementation of supervision, support and clinical services to a population of chemically dependent clients with co-occurring and mental health problems.

Essential Duties:

    n
  • n

    Provide various outpatient mental health services with the goal of patient recovery.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Conduct intakes and monitor individual, group, and family therapies.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Develop service plans and conduct reviews as needed throughout the duration of treatment.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Provide mental health assessments, counseling, referrals, and intervention services.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Complete and maintain documentation according to federal and state guidelines.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Perform other duties as assigned.

    n
  • n
n

Minimum Requirements:

n
    n
  • n

    CASAC-T, CASAC, LMSW, LMHC OR LMFT.

    n
  • n
  • n

    2-3 years of experience within the behavioral health or substance abuse disorder field.

    n
  • n
  • n

    1-2 years of experience working in in an OASAS funded facility a plus.

    n
  • n
n

Preferred Qualifications:

n
    n
  • n

    Bilingual Spanish a plus.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Action-oriented, adaptable, and innovative approach to program planning.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.

    n
  • n
n

Position Status: This is a full-time Exempt position. Exempt employees are defined as employees who, based on duties performed and manner of compensation, shall be exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) minimum wage and overtime provisions. Exempt employees are salaried and expected to work any hours above and beyond their regular schedule necessary to ensure completion of all tasks in a timely manner.
