Primary Care Physician

Overview

Become a part of our caring community CenterWell / Conviva Primary Care, a subsidiary of Humana Inc., is looking for a primary care physician for our clinic in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. You will have the opportunity to take a hands-on approach, addressing patient needs inside the exam room and looking beyond to understand how social determinants of health are affecting health outcomes. This role reports to our Associate Medical Director and is onsite at Conviva West St. Lucie Center in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

Responsibilities (A day in the life)

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Join an experienced team with an established patient panel
• See 14–17 patients per day with the opportunity to spend more time with patients
• Longer authorized appointments (45 minutes)
• Spend 100% of your time clinically focused on direct patient care, including patient-facing time and general administrative time as it relates to direct patient care

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
• Board certified or board eligible in Geriatric Medicine, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Valid, unrestricted license in the state of employment (or willingness to obtain)
• Current, unrestricted DEA license
• If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of two+ years of experience
• 1+ years of experience managing Medicare Advantage panel of patients
• Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and coverage
• Knowledge of HEDIS quality indicators
• Fluent in Spanish and English

Additional Information

• Language Proficiency Testing: any associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for full-time (40 hours per week) employment is $255,000 – $298,500 per year, with potential variation based on geographic location and individual qualifications. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
