Primary Care Physician - Peekskill

Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non‑Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County. We are seeking an accomplished full‑time Primary Care Physician (IM/FM) to join our team in Peekskill, NY.

Pay: $237,182.40 - $269,755.20 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for a Primary Care Physician

• Participate in planning and developing health care services, treatment of conditions and illnesses within scope.
• Diagnose and provide treatment plans for patients.
• Collaborate and supervise advanced provider clinicians.
• Complete and participate in chart review process.
• Referral and follow‑up of patients when needed.
• Collaborate with other members of the Health Center to maintain high quality standards and achieve client satisfaction.
• Clinical supervision: overseeing the clinical work of students or new providers, ensuring they adhere to best practices and organizational standards.
• Mentorship and guidance: providing mentorship and guidance to students or new providers, helping them develop their clinical skills and professional behavior.
• Educational support: facilitating educational sessions, workshops or seminars to enhance the learning experience of mentees.
• Performance evaluation: assessing the performance of students or new providers, providing constructive feedback and documenting their progress.
• Patient care: ensuring high‑quality patient care is maintained while supervising and mentoring students or new providers.
• Collaboration: working closely with academic institutions and other health‑care professionals to coordinate the educational activities and ensure a comprehensive learning experience.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree (MD, DO)
• Active/valid license as an MD or DO in New York State, DEA, Board certification
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
• Experience in HIV care and MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse patient population in a community health setting
