Optum NV is seeking a Family Practice Physician to join their team in Las Vegas, NV. As a clinician-led care organization, Optum offers clinical resources, data, and support to help physicians provide better patient care. This role involves managing a personal panel of patients within a collaborative environment focused on advancing community health and improving care.

Practice Info

  • Work with other physicians in teams while managing your own panel of patients.
  • Patient population includes adults of all ages, geriatrics, and older adolescents, with customization for interest areas.
  • Seniors have access to new Lifestyle Centers.
  • Work in attractive/modern buildings with an electronic medical record environment.
  • Full-time management staff, digital radiology, and onsite laboratory services are available at 14 clinic locations throughout the Las Vegas area.
  • Employed practice position with Southwest Medical, part of Optum, a multi-specialty group.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the treatment of health problems and the promotion of health.
  • Demonstrate professionalism through commitment to professional responsibilities, adherence to ethical principles, and sensitivity to a diverse patient population.
  • Work within a systems-based practice, demonstrating awareness of and responsiveness to the larger context and system of health care.
  • Effectively call on system resources to provide care of optimal value.

Compensation

  • $100,000 Sign on Bonus for external candidates.

  • The salary range for this role is $245,000 to $366,000 annually based on full-time employment.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

  • Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Residency trained, board certified or board eligible.
  • Ability to obtain Nevada license, DEA, Pharmacy license.
  • Medical knowledge about established and evolving biomedical, clinical, epidemiological, and social behavioral sciences and application of this knowledge to patient care.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills that result in effective information exchange and collaboration with patients, their families, and other health professionals.
  • Possession of or acquisition of sufficient computer skills to effectively utilize Electronic Medical Records in their practice.
  • Practice-based learning and improvement that involves investigation and evaluation of their own patient care, appraisal and assimilation of scientific evidence, and improvements in patient care.
