Department: Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities; Location: Macon, GA 31207; Additional Locations: (other possible locations)

Clinic: Mercer Center for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Care, Mercer Medicine; Job Family: Staff Clinical Services; Exempt; Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40.

Responsibilities

This position is expected to contribute to maintaining a financially viable clinical practice at our Center for IDD Care Mercer Medicine clinic in Macon, GA.

Qualifications

• Hold an M.D., D.O., or similar degree and be board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia.
• Demonstrate strong experience working in interdisciplinary healthcare education and clinical settings.
• Experience in a health‑related clinical area is desirable.
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings is desirable.
• Ability to work well with others in a clinical setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience presenting and communicating medical concepts to clinical and lay audiences.
• Familiarity and/or experience with medical settings and culture.
