Primary Care Physician

Job Summary

We are seeking a Primary Care Physician to provide comprehensive outpatient care as part of a collaborative community health team in Escondido.

Compensation

Salary: $230,000 - $385,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Provide direct outpatient primary care to patients across diverse backgrounds
• Administer or prescribe treatments, medications, immunizations and preventive care plans
• Conduct physical examinations and assess patient symptoms, medical history and overall health status
• Order and review tests, diagnostic imaging and clinical findings to guide treatment plans
• Provide oversight and supervision to advanced practice providers, residents and students as needed
• Work closely with nurses, medical assistants, scribes and care team members to support patient outcomes
• Document patient visits, diagnoses, treatment plans and follow-up care accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Medical Degree required
• Board certified in a primary care field
• California medical license required
• Current California Drug Enforcement Administration licensure required
• Current Basic Life Support certification required through an American Heart Association approved source
• Bilingual English and Spanish or English and Arabic strongly preferred
• Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse social, cultural and economic backgrounds
