Sun River Health is looking to hire an accomplished Full‑time Primary Care Physician (IM/FM) to join our team at our Copiague site. The Primary Care Physician will manage a diverse patient panel with multiple co‑morbidities in a busy Federally Qualified Health Center. Care is delivered in collaboration with advanced practice providers, on‑site support staff, with an emphasis on preventative health and quality patient care.

Pay: $237,182.40 – $269,755.20 per year

Responsibilities
- Participate in planning and developing health care services, treatment of conditions and illnesses within scope.
- Diagnose and provide treatment plans for patients.
- Collaborate and supervise advanced provider clinicians.
- Complete and participate in chart review process.
- Refer and follow‑up patients when needed.
- Collaborate with other members of the Health Center to maintain high quality standards and achieve client satisfaction.
- Clinical supervision of students or new providers, ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational standards.
- Mentorship and guidance to students or new providers.
- Facilitate educational sessions, workshops or seminars.
- Assess the performance of students or new providers, provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure high‑quality patient care while supervising and mentoring.
- Coordinate educational activities with academic institutions and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Doctorate Degree (MD, DO)
- Active/Valid license as an MD or DO in New York State, DEA, Board certification
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
- Experience in HIV care and MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient population in community health setting.
