Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) - Internal Medicine / Family Medicine

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

The physician will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a broad range of acute and chronic conditions while building long-term relationships with patients and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult and/or family patients.
  • Conduct physical examinations, medical histories, and routine health assessments.
  • Diagnose and manage acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' medical needs.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic studies, and other evaluations.
  • Prescribe medications and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.
  • Perform preventive care, health screenings, and patient education.
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers when needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, specialists, and other clinical staff.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, lifestyle changes, and preventive health.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow applicable clinical and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (IM) or Family Medicine (FM).
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the applicable state.
  • DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an outpatient primary care setting.
  • Experience managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and cardiovascular disease.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
  • Experience providing preventive and population health services.
