Vera Whole Health is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join their team in Chula Vista, Southern California. This role focuses on building strong patient relationships and practicing medicine with ample time for each patient, moving away from high-volume models. The physician will be part of a collaborative care team, emphasizing preventive care and population health outcomes.
Practice Info
- See 10-15 patients with appointments ranging from 20 to 60 minutes
- Work alongside a dedicated Whole Health Coach embedded in your care center
- Onsite lab and pharmacy
- Measured on outcomes and population health, not procedure volume or RVUs
- Provide prevention, chronic care, acute care, and disease management within a true medical home model
Responsibilities
- See 10-15 patients with appointments ranging from 20 to 60 minutes
- Address behavioral, lifestyle, and psychosocial factors in-house with a dedicated Whole Health Coach
- Utilize onsite lab and pharmacy for clinical decision-making
- Provide prevention, chronic care, acute care, and disease management within a true medical home model
- Participate in clinical leadership: quality improvement, care model development, and peer community
Compensation
- Competitive base salary and yearly bonus opportunity
- Compensation: $232,506 to $348,758

Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency (FM preferred)
- Current Board Certification (ABFM, ABIM, or AOA)
- Spanish/English bi-lingual proficiency is an essential job function
- 3+ years of primary care experience
- Current, unrestricted state medical license and valid DEA number
- Team-based care experience
- EMR proficiency (athenahealth preferred)
- Negative TB test documentation within 12 months of start date
