Primary Care Physician - Baton Rouge, LA

Overview

Become a part of our caring community. The Physician serves as a health‑care provider capable of handling a variety of health‑related problems. Assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues that require in‑depth evaluation of variable factors.

Core Responsibilities

The Physician focuses on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention. Responsibilities include keeping medical histories and records, referring patients to specialists, influencing departmental strategy, making decisions on moderately complex issues regarding technical approaches, and performing work without direction. The role exercises considerable latitude in determining goals and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

• 5 or more years of technical experience
• Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction
• Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program of an accredited university
• Prefer Internal Medicine specialty
• Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine
• Patient‑facing role as part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program; TB screening required
• Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences
• Report to the Associate Medical Director
• Work in our Baton Rouge outpatient clinic
• Willing to participate in limited on‑call coverage by phone

Work Hours

40 hours per week

Pay

Compensation: $255,000 - $298,500 per year. Eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
