As we continue to expand throughout Georgia, we're seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Physicians to join our outpatient primary care practices in Athens and Atlanta .

Position Summary

As a Primary Care Physician, you'll provide comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered medical care while developing meaningful, long-term relationships with your patients. You'll diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, promote preventive care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic testing, including laboratory studies, imaging, and EKGs.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide preventive care, wellness visits, immunizations, and health screenings.
  • Manage chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, COPD, asthma, and heart disease.
  • Perform minor in-office procedures such as suturing, skin biopsies, joint injections, and incision & drainage.
  • Educate patients and families on disease prevention and healthy lifestyles.
  • Coordinate specialty referrals and ensure continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, nurses, and clinical staff.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
  • Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and clinical guidelines.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Current, unrestricted Georgia medical license (or ability to obtain).
  • Active DEA registration.
  • Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred, if applicable).
  • Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
