Overview
Humana’s Primary Care Organization (PCO) is the largest and fastest growing value‑based care, senior‑focused primary care network in the country. The Primary Care Physician (PCP) leads a team‑based care environment, working with doctors, advanced practice professionals, pharmacists, care coach nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health specialists, and other members to deliver personalized, high‑quality care to seniors.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention.
- Maintain patient medical history and records.
- Refer patients to specialists as needed.
- Influence departmental strategy and make independent decisions on complex clinical issues.
- Participate in Humana/Senior Bridge’s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program and undergo required TB screening.
- Provide limited on‑call coverage by phone.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 or more years of technical experience.
- Licensure in the state of jurisdiction.
- Graduate of accredited MD or DO program.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in primary care team settings.
- Interest in continuously improving consumer experience.
Schedule
40 hours per week
Pay
Base pay range: $255,000 – $298,500 per year. Compensation may vary by location and individual performance. Eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
