Job Description:

Title: Pricing Analyst

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Setting: Hybrid (4 days onsite/week)

Compensation: $80k - $90k + 18 days PTO + 401k (4% match)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Proposal Pricing Analyst supports a portfolio of large, multi-location customer accounts by developing pricing and profitability analyses for bids, renewals, service changes, and other pricing requests.

Working cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Finance, Billing, and other stakeholders, this position gathers and validates financial and operational inputs, applies established pricing models, and develops recommendations aligned with growth, retention, and margin objectives.

The Proposal Pricing Analyst will also compile financial and operational information for proposal responses, management review, and ongoing improvement of pricing tools and processes.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare financial models and profitability analyses for multi-location customer proposals, renewals, service changes, and other pricing requests.
• Gather, validate, and reconcile customer, service, cost, and operational inputs to support accurate and timely pricing recommendations.
• Apply established pricing methodologies and Excel-based models to evaluate revenue, cost, margin, and overall financial viability.
• Identify financial risks, opportunities, and data inconsistencies within proposals and escalate significant issues for review.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Finance, Billing, and other stakeholders to validate assumptions, service feasibility, and pricing accuracy.
• Research current and historical service levels, market conditions, and account information for existing and prospective customer locations.
• Compile customer response worksheets and financial information required for RFP submissions, internal approvals, and management review.
• Manage assigned proposal timelines and submission deadlines while allowing adequate time for stakeholder review and revisions.
• Prepare ad hoc trend, win/loss, margin, and results analyses and assist with department metrics and performance tracking.
• Evaluate pricing tools, models, documents, and processes and recommend improvements that increase accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.
• Provide information and support to internal stakeholders regarding proposal pricing processes and initiatives.
• Provide support and coverage for other team members as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2-4+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, sales analysis, estimating, or a related analytical field.
• Experience with proposal pricing or financial analysis in a service-based, multi-location, or related industry preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, formulas, pivot tables, and scenario analysis.
• Ability to translate financial, operational, and market information into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Operations, Finance, Billing, and other business functions.
• 4+ years of related professional experience preferred.
