Preventative Maintenance EngineerIn the role of Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Facilities Director and Maintenance Office Manager in maintaining equipment and facilities within the Academy Mapleton Hill community (AMH).Benefits (Note: some benefits require full-time status)Employee Health InsuranceDental and Vision InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability InsuranceLife InsuranceHoliday PayPaid Time Off401(k) MatchingDiscretionary Annual BonusResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all maintainable building assets.Track equipment age, service procedures, lifecycle, warranty information, and replacement schedules.Assist in developing long-term capital replacement plans.Creates SOPs for routine preventative maintenance equipment serviceInstructs Maintenance Technicians on proper service proceduresIntegrates building equipment with Maintenance Management Software (MMS) using QR code technologyMonitors and adjusts the Building Automation System to optimize building functionalityMaintains serviceable building equipment including MAUs, WCCUs, FCUs, EFs, Water heaters, and all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.Performs daily walk of equipment to confirm normal operationAssists with the installation and set-up of new equipmentWorks with Facilities Director and Maintenance Office Manager to proactively order and stock preventative maintenance suppliesPerform advanced troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.Coordinate specialized repairs with outside contractors when necessary.Assist with the installation, commissioning, and startup of new building equipment.Train maintenance technicians on equipment operation, preventative maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.Develop standardized maintenance procedures to improve consistency across the department.Assist with onboarding new maintenance employees.Desired QualificationsPossess a valid driving licenseStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systemsStrong knowledge of safety procedures/regulations and use of personal protective equipmentStrong technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologiesAbility to read and interpret technical documents and blueprintsAbility to work flexible hours, and occasional holidays, as requiredAbility to work on call and be available for emergency repairsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesExcellent oral and written communication skills
