Our innovative special effects include foil stamping, UV embellishments and laminations, as well as our trademarked products LithoFoil®, MetalTone™, Look of Leather™ and VibraColor™.Phoenix Color's® progressive innovation and commitment to quality will give your product the optimum eye-catching edge required in today's competitive marketplace.Salary range: $25.25 - $33.25 + $1.00 shift differentialSchedule: Monday - Thursday night shift - 7pm to 7amPosition Summary:Support all phases of production by and following all SOPs for operation, maintenance of the printing press, all while following all safety and quality control standards.

Direct / train press operators assisting on press.Position Responsibilities:Able to perform basic operations to setup and maintain a job run including loading paper, hanging plates, etcReview job ticket, verify ink and paper match the job, and know how to set up fountains, feeders and platesCheck color specifications and determine how to conduct color matchingRun the job using standard quality control measures including date stamping and checking offsetRecognize and eliminate printing problems such as picking, piling, register and other defectsUse measuring devices such as blanket gauge, densitometer, durometer, PH meter, packing gauge or micrometer as neededEnforce SOPs and assist operators when necessaryPerform basic maintenance and housekeeping functionsReport time and production results accuratelyAdhere to and promote all safety policies and proceduresAll other duties as assignedPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand and walk for 12-hour shift and lift up to 60lbsMay be exposed to liquid chemicals or vaporsPosition Skills:Ability to read and understand written instructions and read a standard rulerHigh levels of attention to detailAbility to work as a teamMechanically inclinedExperience/Education:High school diploma or equivalent preferredMinimum (2) years prior pressman experience requiredTechnical training with Heidelberg sheet fed printing preferredWhat we offer:Clean and safe work environmentWork-life balanceGrowth and promotion opportunitiesGreat culture and co-workers
