Press / Print Operating Technician ITaylor Corporation is looking for a Press / Print Operating Technician I to join our production team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and monitor printing equipment to ensure customer orders are produced accurately, efficiently, and according to quality standards.Your Responsibilities:Read and follow detailed job orders, identify potential errors, and take corrective action as neededSet up and adjust printing presses and production equipment according to job specificationsOperate assigned equipment, which may include high-speed multicolor digital printing equipment with finishing capabilities and four-color or greater printing presses with finishing equipmentMonitor print quality throughout production runs and make adjustments to ensure customer specifications are metMonitor equipment performance, identify mechanical issues, and notify maintenance when necessaryStart and operate production jobs according to established schedules and prioritiesPerform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep to support reliable operationMeet production standards for output, waste, and spoilageFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area to support efficient shift changeoversComplete production logs, job documentation, and related paperwork accuratelyYour Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:00pmYou Must Have:Mechanical and technical aptitudeBasic math skills, including the ability to read a ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimizationAbility to operate equipment to meet established production and quality standardsAbility to understand and follow verbal and written work instructionsAbility to communicate professionally with team members and supervisorsAttention to detail and commitment to qualityRequirements Within This Position:Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understandRegularly required to remain in a stationary positionConstantly operates machinery and handles products including print materialsFrequently required to move inside the facilityRegularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)We Would Also Prefer:Ability to distinguish colorsExperience in a production-related environmentAbout Taylor CorporationOne of the largest print and communications firms in North America, Taylor's family of companies provides a diverse set of products, services and technologies that address the toughest business challenges.
