In this role, you'll operate flexographic printing equipment to produce high-quality packaging materials while maintaining safety standards and production efficiency.This position operates in a manufacturing environment with exposure to typical production equipment and materials.
The role requires working rotating shifts to support 24/7 operations. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is provided and required.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate flexographic printing presses and related equipment to produce high-quality packaging materialsSet up, adjust, and maintain printing equipment according to job specificationsMonitor print quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure consistent outputPerform quality checks and maintain detailed production recordsTroubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtimeMaintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principlesAdhere to all safety protocols and company policiesCollaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality standardsParticipate in continuous improvement initiativesQualifications Requirements:High school diploma or GED requiredMechanical and manufacturing experience is desired1-3 years of experience operating flexographic printing equipment preferred, but not requiredTechnical certification in printing technology or a related field is a plusKnowledge of color management and print quality standardsMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and interpret job specifications and technical documentationExperience with Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S methodologyStrong attention to detail and quality focusExcellent communication and teamwork skillsPhysical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 poundsWillingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as neededAdditional Requirements:Requires basic reading, writing, and math skills.Ability to pass a hue and color vision assessment.Able to work independently and instruct others as necessary.Able to follow instructions and make decisions based on data obtained.Computer knowledge: Word, Excel, SAP, and others.Safety Requirements:Participate in safety observationsWear all required PPE and PFS: beard/hair net, hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes.Perform all duties using safe work methodsAttend and participate in monthly safety training.Comply with all established site and department safety rules and policies.Report unsafe conditions, all accidents and near misses immediately to the shift supervisor or his/her designateBenefits and Perks401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Employee assistance program Employee discounts Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid elder care Paid time off Parental leave Professional development assistance Retirement plan Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance
