Job Posting TitlePress OperatorJob DescriptionFort Wayne Manufacturing Facility is seeking a skilled and reliable Press Operator to operate and maintain warm form machinery to produce high-quality precision parts according to specifications.Job responsibilities include:Set up, adjust, and operate forging press machines to produce metal components.Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine machine setup and production requirements.Operating a forklift to load and unload materials into machinesMonitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality.Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.Conduct quality checks on finished products using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure compliance with specifications.Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with press machinery.Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.Adhere to all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and meet deadlines.All other duties as assignedRequired Skills and EducationHigh School Diploma or GED required.Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshootAbility to use precision measuring instruments accurately.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Ability to lift and move heavy materials and stand for extended periods.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Forklift experienceAbout DauchDauch Corporation is a premier Driveline and Metal Forming supplier serving the global automotive industry with a powertrain-agnostic product portfolio that supports electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles.
