PRESS OPERATOR ASSISTANT

Press AssistantThis position is responsible for assisting in the set-up and operation of production equipment to meet quality and productivity requirements per customer specification. Will also be responsible for managing inventory, receiving inventory, and picking inventory for upcoming Production.Fully understands and follows all ABX safety rules and policies.Assists in the setup and operation of flexographic printing press / slitters to meet quality and productivity requirements per customer specification and as designated by press operator, supervisor, or managerAssists in assuring all product quality, safety, and production standards are metCompletes documentation in accurate mannerAssists in the change of raw materials on PressEnsure quality and safe operation of equipment and notifies operator when aware of issuesComplete processes within allotted set up timePerforms miscellaneous duties as required by operator, supervisor, or managerMaintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety instructionsParticipate in ongoing CI and Focus improvement processesPrestaging of materials, boxes, cores, inks, according to job specific requirementsCycle counting of materials in the warehouse to insure inventory accuracyReceipt of materials incoming from vendor to put into inventoryMoving inventory to finished goods once production is completeGood verbal and written communication skillsWorks with others to keep areas organized and works as a team member to assist others.Capable of and committed to follow the plant and departmental safety procedures, food safety guidelines and company procedures.Good communication and organizational skillsDemonstrates basic mathematical skillsContinuous learning will be expectedAble to work overtime as requiredABX Innovative Packaging Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
