Imagine walking through stores and seeing our labels on your favorite products and brands!Night Shift Available: 3 day/12.25 hour scheduleOur full benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, and much moreCompensation for Press Operator Assistant is based on the skills and experiences brought to SmythKey Responsibilities for Press Operator Assistant include:Efficient support with setup, operation, and maintenance of the press, focusing on meeting specifications in product quality, safety, and management of material and product wastePreparing and maintaining appropriate documentation for the pressroomContributing to a team effort, collectively ensuring the press is stocked with all necessary materials and operating properly to enable focus on the art of producing the labelsObserving company work rules and safety regulationsMaintaining a clean and organized work area and pressroomWorking within an innovative culture, striving to create and develop new products for our customersThe ideal candidate for Press Operator Assistant must demonstrate:Ability to follow standard work procedures, make fact-based decisions, troubleshoot, and problem-solve areas of opportunity to keep the workflow running smoothly and efficientlyEffective time management skills on multiple long- and short-term projects, meeting all related deadlinesWillingness to learn and adapt to changing processes and technologies (tools, hardware and software)Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a diverse group/variety of people and personalitiesHigh levels of customer service, responding promptly, clearly, concisely, and accurately to the inquires and needs of individuals, both internal and external to the organizationAbility to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to all levels of people inside and outside the organizationEducation, Skills, and Experience for Press Operator Assistant:Required: High School diploma or equivalentRequired: Mechanical aptitudePreferred: Experience with measurements and calculationsA Plus: Knowledge of and/or experience with Lean Manufacturing and ISO quality systems
