Press Operator (2nd Shift)Micro-Tronics is seeking a Press Operator (2nd Shift) to join our team. In this role, you will set up and operate molding equipment to produce high-quality rubber components in a manufacturing environment.This position is ideal for someone with hands-on manufacturing experience who is mechanically inclined and detail-oriented. You will be responsible for ensuring parts meet quality standards while supporting safe and efficient production operations.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate rubber molding equipment following work instructions and process guidelinesPerform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, snap gauges, etc.)Visually inspect parts and identify non-conforming productsEnsure proper use of materials, including adhesives and primers within shelf-life requirementsMaintain accurate production records, including quantities and inspection resultsComplete job routers, travelers, and required documentation accuratelyMaintain proper lot control and traceability of materials and partsClean and package finished products to prevent damageMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment (5S standards)Monitor equipment performance and report any issuesWork with leads and supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve quality or process issuesQualifications1+ year of manufacturing experience (precision or rubber molding preferred)Basic understanding of blueprints, drawings, and specificationsExperience using hand tools and inspection equipment (calipers, gauges, etc.)Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detailAbility to recognize visual defects and quality issuesSkills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and quality focusAbility to follow instructions and standardized processesBasic troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsGood communication and teamwork skillsPerformance Metrics (KPIs)On-time completion of assigned workProductivity and throughputQuality and scrap reductionPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shiftManual dexterity to operate equipment and toolsAbility to lift and move materials using carts or equipmentAbility to wear required PPEBENEFITS:At Micro-Tronics, we recognize how important your career and benefits are to you and your family.
