Press Support OperatorThe Press Support Operator assists press operators in the setup, operation, and maintenance of printing presses. This role ensures production runs smoothly by preparing materials, monitoring equipment performance, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the setup and breakdown of printing presses for production runsPrepare materials including paper, ink, and printing plates as requiredMonitor press operations and support the lead press operator with adjustmentsLoad and unload materials, ensuring proper alignment and feedPerform quality checks on printed materials to identify errors or defectsMaintain pressroom cleanliness and organize tools, materials, and suppliesAssist with routine maintenance and cleaning of press equipmentFollow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environmentRecord production data and report equipment issues to supervisorsCollaborate with team members to meet daily production goalsQualifications:Prior experience in a manufacturing or print production environment preferredBasic mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot minor issuesStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbsWillingness to work shifts, overtime, or weekends as requiredGood communication and teamwork skillsWork Environment:Fast-paced production floorExposure to loud noise, ink, solvents, and moving machineryUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
