Full Time Press Brake OperatorThis role is a skilled position responsible for setting up and operating press brakes. Essential Functions:Set up and perform brake operations on various styles of brake machinery according to specifications of work orders and fabrication prints/drawings without supervisionRead and interpret mechanical drawings or fabrication prints as needed for accurate and safe brake operationUnderstand and calculate bend deduction allowances as required to properly and safely set up toolingFollow work order directions and safely produce required quantity of parts efficiently and within the required tolerance and cosmetic qualityAdhere to all company safety regulations, including those regarding machine operation and proper guardingPerform inspection to prove required dimensional tolerances and cosmetic requirements are met before submitting to Department Lead or QC for monitoringCooperate with other employees in the department to maintain a safe working environmentEnter time and data entry into company data acquisition system in accordance with company policyPerform light level daily maintenance on assigned brake press equipmentComplete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specificationsMaintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areaAccurately attach, track and process work orders and packing slips for incoming materials and finished productsOther duties as assignedSkills/Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent is requiredMinimum of 3 years of experience in sheet metal precision press brake operationsAbility to read and interpret blueprints or mechanical drawings involving brake operationsKnowledge of how to safely set up and run various styles of Brake machinery including AMADA, Bystronic, Safan Darley and Adira brake machinerySufficient manual dexterity to operate machines safely and properlyFamiliarity with shop equipment such as table, panel and chop saws and kick and drill pressesPhysical Requirements:Ability to arrive promptly for shift and stand and/or walk for duration of shiftAbility to hear, speak, kneel, bend and use a step ladder or stoolCapable of lifting 75 poundsCapable of working in a manufacturing environmentPossess own accurate mechanical measuring tools of the craft (calipers, micrometers, etc.)Job Type: Full-time Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
