Your responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY: This first shift position operates lift trucks, overhead crane, hand trucks, manipulators and other material handling equipment to move material and finished parts throughout various departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform duties to assist the Press Operator in making proper size billet.
• Direct material handler in proper location of material on transfer table.
• Place shovel of coal on billet when billet is sticking to die.
• Use broom to sweep scale off platen. Use tongs to place slugs in scrap barrel. Keep punches sorted by size.
• Assist Press Operator in changing platens and dies and performing minor repairs and adjustments.
• Relieves Press Operator.
• Maintain a safe working environment. Wear all required PPE.

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate and focus on continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.
• Work with co-workers in a friendly non-competitive environment.
• Work in and develop a team atmosphere with co-workers.

SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Mathematical - skills must include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of fractions and decimals. Knowledge of metric converstions

Active listening skills

Reading comprehension

Effective communication skills

High school diploma or GED

Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Noise level is loud. Hearing protection is provided and must be worn. High heat in summer months.
EXPORT CONTROL: This position requires access to export-controlled technical data or technology. Employment is contingent upon thyssenkrupp's ability to obtain any required export authorization from the appropriate government agency or agencies.

Hourly rate as of October 1, 2026 - $30.34
