In this impactful role, you'll work directly with families in their homes-helping reduce the risk of child maltreatment while promoting stability, wellbeing, and long-term success. Using a strengths-based, 2Gen approach, you'll empower both caregivers and children to build skills, access resources, and create sustainable change.

What You'll Do
As a MiFT Case Manager, you'll deliver hands-on, individualized support to families:
In-Home Family Support
  • Provide weekly, in-home services to families over a 6-month period
  • Deliver crisis intervention, education, and support to families at risk of child removal or reunification
  • Utilize Protective Factors and the 2Gen approach to strengthen family systems
Assessment & Treatment Planning
  • Conduct comprehensive family assessments
  • Collaboratively develop and implement goals with families
  • Support skill-building and connect families to resources
Collaboration & Advocacy
  • Work closely with referral sources, courts, schools, and community providers
  • Advocate for families and help coordinate needed services
  • Actively participate in team meetings and case reviews
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate, timely case records and documentation
  • Track progress, complete reports, and meet program requirements
  • Participate in ongoing training and apply best practices
What You Bring
  • A minimum of Bachelor's degree in any human service field or education required
  • OR
  • Two years' experience working with children and/or families and an associate degree or the equivalent in human services or education and be actively working towards a bachelor's degree in human services or education with an anticipated graduation within 6 months of hire date.
  • Experience working with children and families in a field-based or community setting preferred
  • Knowledge of strength-based, family-centered, and solution-focused approaches preferred
  • Ability to build trust, engage families, and navigate complex situations

Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Reliable personal transportation suitable for transporting clients
  • Current vehicle registration and proof of insurance
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and participation in a 24-hour on-call support rotation
