Mimloo is a play café and children's activity space opening on 44th Drive in August. Two minutes from Court Square (7/E/M/G).
We'll be straight about this one: it's prep and it's dishes. Both matter, and we're not going to dress it up as something it isn't.
The job
- Prep: breaking down vegetables and fruit, portioning proteins and cheese, dressings, simple sauces, working from the recipe book
- Dish: running the machine, pots and pans, keeping the pit from backing up
- Sanitizing surfaces and equipment, trash and recycling, receiving and storing deliveries
- Helping the Kitchen Lead keep service moving
What we're looking for
- Kitchen experience helps, but we'll train the right person
- Dependability — showing up on time is most of this job
- Able to work clean while moving quickly
- Saturday or Sunday availability
- NYC Food Protection certificate, or willingness to get one. We'll cover the cost
- English or Spanish both fine
Shifts: Morning (7am–12:30pm) or afternoon (12:30pm–6:30pm). Set weekly schedule.
