Part-Time Prep Cook / Dishwasher Hybrid Position (Bakery)
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented team member to join our bakery as a Prep Cook/ Dishwasher / Porter.
Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday; approximately 20 – 30 hours per week
Wednesday (prep cook), Thursday (prep cook), Friday (dishwasher/porter)
Compensation: $18 - $20 per hour based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Support bakers and kitchen staff with basic food preparation and prep tasks as needed
- Assemble sandwiches during Wednesday and Thursday service
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, baking trays, and kitchen equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, storage, and front-of-house areas throughout the day
- Take out trash and recycling, ensuring waste areas remain clean and orderly
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries
- Assist with general kitchen upkeep and end-of-day cleaning procedures
- Help maintain an efficient, clean, and well-organized work environment
- Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards at all times
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of previous kitchen, dishwashing, porter, or food prep experience required.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Able to follow instructions and maintain consistency in daily tasks
