Saturday hours may be required based on the needs of the business. This position works primarily within a prefabrication facility, with regular time spent on the shop floor and periodic visits to construction project sites. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role.ResponsibilitiesLead prefab kickoff meetings and define project-specific prefabrication scope of workDevelop and maintain prefab production schedules aligned with project installation milestonesCoordinate detailing priorities and confirm drawing packages are complete prior to production releaseReview construction documents and drawings to ensure constructability and alignment with real-world field means and methodSequence prefab assemblies based on installation-driven requirementsTranslate required quantities into production duration based on established shop capacityMonitor prefab labor hours against estimated budgets and identify variancesCoordinate prefab-related change requests and pricing, within delegated authorityFacilitate regular prefab coordination meetings between field project teams and shop leadershipEnsure material requirements are identified and aligned with production schedulesValidate assemblies are complete and installation-ready prior to shipmentSpend regular time on the shop floor reviewing assemblies and working directly with production teamsVisit project sites as needed to confirm constructability and gather field feedbackIdentify schedule, detailing, or material risks impacting production and escalate appropriatelyCollaborate with Shop Superintendents to align weekly production prioritiesPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsExperience: Equivalent field experience and demonstrated competency will be considered in place of formal educationMinimum three (3) years of field construction experience required.
Experience as a Foreman, Lead Installer, Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar role preferredThis position requires practical field experiencePrefabrication or manufacturing exposure is desirable but not requiredSkills: Strong practical understanding of construction means and methodsField credibility and ability to communicate effectively with craft laborComfortable working in a production environment — not solely in an office settingDetail-oriented and organizedAbility to manage multiple priorities and shifting schedulesWillingness to be hands-on when needed to resolve issuesStrong problem-solving ability grounded in real-world installation experienceDesire to grow into greater leadership responsibilityTechnology: Ability to read and interpret construction drawings is required. Working knowledge of Bluebeam, Revit, CAD, or similar platforms preferred for review purposes only. This role is not a design position.
