About the Opportunity
An opportunity to join an extremely successful, rapidly growing General Contractor delivering large-scale commercial construction projects throughout the DC/Baltimore region.
The Preconstruction Manager will play a key role in projects from early planning through procurement and construction handover, driving accurate estimating, cost control, value engineering, and competitive bid strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead preconstruction activities, budgeting, estimating, and bid management for large commercial projects.
- Develop detailed cost estimates, schedules, and procurement strategies.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and constructability reviews.
- Manage subcontractor bidding, scope reviews, and bid leveling.
- Support project teams through a smooth transition from preconstruction to construction.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in preconstruction, estimating, or commercial construction management.
- Strong background with a General Contractor on large-scale commercial projects.
- Proficiency in cost estimating, budgeting, subcontractor procurement, and construction documents.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
