The Preconstruction Engineer plays an important role in the planning and development of construction projects from the early design stages through procurement. Working closely with the Preconstruction team, this position supports the development of accurate estimates, project budgets, bid packages, and procurement strategies while gaining valuable experience in construction estimating and project delivery.
Key Role Responsibilities
* Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
* Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and estimating.
* Communicate with subcontractors and vendors.
* Manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
* Work closely with the Preconstruction team to develop accurate project budgets.
