Preclinical Data Steward/Data Manager

We are seeking a Preclinical Data Steward/Data Manager M/F to serve as the primary point of contact between our Boston site and the preclinical DM team in France . This role will ensure seamless data management, governance, and collaboration across sites, with a focus on preclinical research data.
Key Responsibilities
- Functional Administration:
- Manage access rights and list of values (LOV).
- Create and update functional documentation (e.g., MOPs).
- Refine business needs to align with data management strategies.
- Data Collection & Mapping:
- Design and implement data mapping interfaces for efficient data collection.
- Application Testing & Validation:
- Validate new functionalities (test case creation, execution, and documentation).
- Data Quality & Integrity:
- Prepare, clean, and review data for compliance and accuracy.
- Develop scripts and database queries for data correction.
- Perform accuracy checks to ensure data reliability.
- Business Intelligence (BI) Activities:
- Set up data extractions, dashboards, and reports.
- User Support & Training:
- Provide functional assistance to users.
- Conduct training sessions for system adoption.
Hard Skills
- Master’s degree in a relevant scientific or data management field.
- 6+ years of experience in preclinical data management.
- Preclinical research knowledge : In vitro/in vivo pharmacology, toxicology, DMPK, Omics.
- Hands‑on lab experience (e.g., benchwork, biology, PK/PD) is a strong plus.
- Data governance expertise : Master Data Management, FAIR principles, Data Integrity – ALCOA+.
- Technical skills : Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and basic Python.
- Functional application testing and validation.
- BI tools : Experience in data extraction, dashboard creation, and reporting.
