Lake Shore's manufacturing team plays a critical role in delivering highly specialized products trusted by customers around the globe.What You'll DoAs a Precision Electronics Assembler I, you will assemble, inspect, and test highly sensitive electronic sensor products in a clean and controlled manufacturing environment. This position requires patience, precision, and a strong commitment to quality.Responsibilities include:Assembling delicate electronic components and sensor products according to detailed work instructionsWorking with microscopic materials and components under microscopes and magnification equipmentPerforming inspection and testing throughout the assembly processIdentifying cosmetic and functional defects to ensure product qualityReading and following manufacturing procedures and work instructionsHandling highly sensitive and fragile materials with careSafely working with chemicals used in manufacturing processesRecording production information and interacting with company systems as requiredMaintaining productivity, quality, and efficiency standardsWhat We're Looking ForSuccessful candidates are patient, focused, and enjoy highly detailed hands-on work.Preferred qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent1+ years of experience in assemblyPrevious assembly, manufacturing, laboratory, electronics, jewelry-making, crafts, sewing, microscopy, medical device, quality inspection, or other precision-detail work experienceExperience working with small components requiring a high degree of accuracyStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to follow written procedures and instructionsBasic computer skills and comfort learning manufacturing systemsPhysical & Work RequirementsThis position involves extensive, repetitive precision work and requires:Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationAbility to perform repetitive microscope-based work for 6-8 hours per dayAbility to work with extremely small, delicate, and highly sensitive materialsAbility to identify small defects and variations in components and finished productsAbility to maintain focus and concentration on repetitive tasks for extended periodsAbility to sit in a stationary position for prolonged periods throughout the workdayAbility to pass vision acuity testing, with or without corrective lensesAbility to use fine motor skills for assembly, testing, soldering, and inspection activitiesWhy Join Us?You'll become part of a highly skilled manufacturing team that produces precision sensor products used in cutting-edge scientific and industrial applications.
