Job Summary
The RN Pre‑op/PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre‑op/PACU offers safe, effective, and family‑centered care in perioperative services for all patient populations, supporting the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN Pre‑op/PACU reports to the Manager of Peri‑operative Services and has experience in specialties such as Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, and Urology.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with an unrestricted state license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- 1‑3 years of prior Pre‑OP/PACU experience.
- Experience in an ambulatory surgical center preferred.
- Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certification.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and surgical patient management.
- Understanding of aseptic techniques.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions.
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills.
