Pre-Certification Specialist

To support the pre-certification process, the part-time Pre-Certification Specialist will obtain and provide accurate data input for pre-certification and preauthorization from insurance companies while working remotely. Key responsibilities Effectively communicate with insurance companies to obtain necessary pre-certifications for services Accurately enter and update patient data into the computer system while maintaining confidentiality Review claim denials and rejections, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards and departmental policies Required qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in healthcare or physician's office related to pre-authorizations Extensive knowledge of individual payor websites and medical terminology Experience with GE Centricity or EPIC PB preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
