Department:MMF Vision CenterShift:Primarily Days (United States of America)Employee Type:RegularPer Diem Type (if applicable):Minimum Pay Range:$33.17 - $39.81Job Description:POSITION SUMMARYThe Outpatient Practice Director oversees Provider offices within the Marshall Medical Clinics, and isresponsible for the department personnel and ensures the quality of care and use of resourcesassociated with each clinic. Responsible for providing visionary leadership to maximize theeffectiveness of and provides accountability for, all patient care, human resources, operational andfiscal management of the department(s). This is a position that requires independent decision-making,emotional and physical stamina, diplomacy, team orientation, a positive attitude and willingness to getthe job done regardless of the task.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Licensure/Certification:· Bachelor's degree in business, finance or healthcare administration or related field required.· Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training/experience preferred.· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.· *Must meet all DMV requirements listed below.Knowledge:· Minimum of five (5) years of recent management experience required.· Previous out-patient practice & healthcare management experience required.· Demonstrated ability to effectively lead productive, engaged teams and work with providersrequired.· Proven knowledge or ability to learn business and management principles, budget control andaccounting principles, including capital budgeting, cost accounting, professional and patientbilling; and ability to apply these principles to a health care environment.· Excellent understanding of medical office, patient and information flow required.Skills:· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to express ideas effectively, both orallyand in writing required.· Experience where planning, coordination, motivation and direction to staff and ability to proposeinnovative solutions to challenges have been demonstrated required.· Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to, implement the requirements of providing patientcare within a highly regulated and constantly changing environment required.· Demonstrated ability to make decisions in the absence of immediate supervision that benefit theclinic, and are in compliance with Marshall Medical Center required.· Comfortable with regularly verifying and processing insurance eligibility and obtainingauthorization requests, including verifying personal credentials with external partners to obtainthis information (e.g., ID.me for identity verification for VA insurance coordination).SummaryLocation: Placerville, CAType: Full time
