This person is responsible for the functioning of his medical practice and the management of his office.
For the medical practice, responsibilities include: scheduling patient appointments, obtaining pre-authorizations for tests, checking patients in and out during their visits, doing all necessary follow-ups. Office management responsibilities include: scheduling and coordination of Grand RoundsJob Duties:Answer phone for patient appointments and meeting schedulingAddress all calls to the fullest extent possibleMonitor and maintain wait listRepository for records received that should not be reviewed without scanningObtain insurance pre-authorizations as neededAll patients should be called 2-3 days before appointment to confirmFolders for patients to be seen should be made the day before with billsCancellations should be so marked on the schedule if not replaced.Each patient should be scheduled with a follow up appointment when leavingScan incoming faxes for records and patient notes into the appropriate fileReconcile phone list and be sure the calls were answeredReturn all emailsCoordinate Grand rounds for the Neurology departmentQualificationsExperience /Requirements:Working within a busy, clinical office setting, you will be reporting directly to Dr Pavlakis. Strong meeting and calendaring skills are required.
The qualified candidate will demonstrate the capacity to multi-task and utilize critical thinking skills to identify and solve problems; must possess strong communication skills.Associates degree required.Minimum 2 years of Professional ExperienceExceptional verbal and written communications skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.Experience with EPIC preferred.
