Responsibilities will include:Create and manage media relations, including identifying and planning media opportunities, pitching stories and expert spokespeople, and developing and maintaining media lists and media relationshipsResearch, write and pitch press releases and relevant storiesTrack media mentions and other effectiveness measuresCreate engaging social media and thought leadership content aligned with the organization's goals and brand identity across multiple social platformsEngage with community through responses, reposts, polls and moreMeasure success of social campaignsStay up to date on social trends and best practicesMay also be responsible for blog, newsletter and other long-form content and managing influencer campaignsPreferred Qualifications3-5 years experience with social media and/or PR in a professional settingBachelor's or advanced degree in marketing, communications, PR or relevant fieldStrong oral and written communicationAgency experience a plus, but not necessaryComfortable using technology to advance the agency needsCollaborative, goal-oriented, self-starterPassion working with social and local mediaDesire to be curious, awesome and essentialThank you!
