PR and Social Media Relations Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic PR Specialist to join our team. We are looking for someone with both PR and social media experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for communication, media relations, and storytelling. Duties
- Develop and implement PR and media relations to enhance the organization's public image
- Write and edit press releases, articles, and other communication materials
- Conduct research to support PR planning and execution
- Manage social media platforms, reporting and engage with followers
- Collaborate with journalists and media outlets to secure press coverage
- Monitor and analyze media coverage to measure PR campaign effectiveness

Skills
- Excellent written, computer and verbal communication skills
- Clear knowledge of AP Stylebook and great grammar skills
- Proficient in proofreading and editing content
- Strong understanding of social media management
- Experience in writing for various media, including journalism or marketing
- Ability to cultivate relationships with media contacts
- Knowledge of media relations practices and social media industry trends

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: 12 18 per week

6-8 hour shift
Monday to Thursday
No nights
No weekends

- Experience in social media management and public relations strategies
- Skilled in media relations and writing press releases
- Familiarity with AP style, public speaking, and conducting research
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
