Powersports Assembly TechnicianThe Powersports Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and preparing new powersports vehicles (motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, watercraft, etc.) for delivery. This role ensures all units are built to manufacturer specifications and meet safety and quality standards.Key responsibilities include:Assembling new units from crates according to manufacturer instructions.Performing pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and verifying that all components are installed and functioning.Ensuring correct fluid levels, battery charging, and tire inflation.Diagnosing and troubleshooting any mechanical or electrical issues during assembly.Maintaining detailed records of assembly, inspections, and completed work.Communicating any damage or missing parts to the supervisor or parts department.Maintaining a clean and organized work area.Following all safety procedures and protocols.Qualifications include:High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).1+ year experience in mechanical assembly or related field (powersports or automotive preferred).Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand/power tools.Ability to read and follow technical instructions and schematics.Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for long periods.Preferred skills include:Certification in small engine repair or related technical field.Knowledge of major powersports brands (e.g., Indian, Polaris, Can-Am, CF Moto).Basic computer skills for service documentation.Work environment includes:Fast-paced shop or dealership environment.May involve exposure to noise, fumes, and outdoor weather.Compensation is competitive pay based on experience.
