Responsibilities
How you'll make an impact in this role
- Controls, starts, and shuts down primary and auxiliary power plant equipment-including boilers, turbines, generators, pumps, and compressors-using control boards and sequential switches.
- Monitors meters, gauges, and computer systems at established intervals to regulate power flow, adjust water levels, and detect potential operating problems.
- Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs, such as cleaning, lubricating equipment, and tightening leaking joints, to prevent system failure or deterioration.
- Documents plant operations by maintaining accurate logs, completing forms, writing equipment malfunction reports, and handling emergency outage communication.
- Leads team operations by assigning daily work to maximize plant efficiency, assisting with shift scheduling, and training team members on equipment monitoring and maintenance.
- Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on cross-functional teams, participates in informational meetings and workshops, and assists with special projects as assigned.
What minimum requirements you'll need
Must have one or more of the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Relevant license
- Graduate of trade school
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Other equivalent combination of relevant education or experience
